The 2026 New York State Legislative Session will arrive before we know it. #LAD26 will be held on February 3, 2026, with Pre-Advocacy Day on February 2, 2026. Registration is required for Pre-Advocacy Day attendance. Stay tuned for hotel accommodations, Pre-Advocacy Day registration form, and all other materials to prepare for #LAD26!

Description: This presentation highlights a new information literacy tutorial developed for New York libraries, emphasizing the identification and use of artificial intelligence as crucial knowledge for an informed citizenry. Description: In this workshop, we will consider how patron expectations have been reshaped over the past 20 years, and briefly touch on boundary-setting and constructive confrontation techniques to assist staff with navigating challenging patron transactions, both in the moment and afterwards.
